Massive New Monsoon Illuminated Signage

Graffiti Design has recently completed the new Monsoon signage for Monsoon Kingston store. The main side of the massive fascia stretched over 34 metres long with two projecting signs and four sets of illuminated built up letters.

This site is part of the continued rollout of the newly rebranded Monsoon Accessorize signage that Graffiti Design won back in March 2012. Now that the initial Olympic rollout has been successfully completed, Graffiti have been working through the major sites in the Monsoon Accessorize estate.

Kingston was just one of a number of the key sites for the worldwide fashion retailer; others have included Accessorize Euston Station, Kings Road London and Taunton. More sites are on the horizon and now in manufacture, Canary Wharf, Windsor and Crawley will be completed with the next couple of weeks.

The illuminated signage at Kingston was complex not just because of the size, but also the splay around the corner of the building. The powder coated aluminium trays were over 1.3 metres in height, and reached a little over 42 metres in length. There were four different sets of illuminated letters on the fascia, ranging from a cap height of 240mm over the door, to the main set which was 1.2 metres.

All the letters and both projecting signs were internally illuminated using LEDs, and diffused with opal acrylic. The job took over two nights to install because of the sheer size of the panels and letters.

The fascia also included the new Monsoon Children logo, in a very attractive illuminated blue. The other two sites where Graffiti has manufactured and installed the Monsoon Children fascia are Regent Street and Kings Road. The ‘Monsoon’ remains as built up illuminated letters although ‘Children’ is manufactured as pushed through illuminated letters, so they appear flush with the rest of the fascia.

Graffiti Design has also been working on samples of the illuminated built up letters to be sent out Egypt for Monsoon, as the retailer spreads it wings to the Middle East.

Coffee Republic Signage

Graffiti Design can now announce that we will be producing the complete interior and exterior signage and graphics for its first Coffee Republic store.

After an amicable and positive meeting with a director of Coffee Republic, and a successful tendering process, Graffiti has won the work for the new Oxford outlet. We have also been named and confirmed as the signage and graphic supplier for a hopeful second new opening in London which is in the not too distant future.

Once the works are complete, Graffiti Design will be placed in the brand manual for Coffee Republic, and will be the named supplier for all the new franchises and the six company owned stores.

Peter Phair, Sales & Marketing Executive and project manager for the works commented: “This is another great success for the company. To be selected by a large high street name with stores nationwide is a great opportunity for us to exploit. To be associated with a brand this powerful is exactly the sort of market that we aim for and are moving into rapidly.”

The specification for Coffee Republic consists of a white dibond tray, pushed through opal acrylic letters with painted aluminium faces – all illuminated. There will be an illuminated circular projecting sign and internal vinyl and graphics, all the sort of things that we specialise in.

We have now gone into manufacture for all the signage and graphics and installation will be in September, shortly before the store will open, however a date is yet to be confirmed.

Corporate Signage Won By Graffiti Design

Graffiti Design is pleased to announce that the new rebrand of the Corporate Signage for Edwards Vacuum’s Global Technology Centre in Burgess Hill, Sussex will be completed by Graffiti Design.

After being approached by the global corporate giant, Graffiti entered into a tendering process with 3 other signage manufacturers. Damien Pestell, Sales and Marketing Director took the opportunity to really show what Graffiti Design as a company can offer to corporate clients, and created a complete signage solutions package for Edwards.

After a presentation of the tender at the site, and a tour around the award winning American Express Community Stadium, Edwards had a chance to see the proposed signage in reality.

The work consists of the complete rebrand of the existing site, to the new Global Technology Centre. The signage includes large monoliths signs, illuminated built-up letters and way-finding signs.

Edwards Vacuum is a world leader in development and manufacture of dry pumps and vacuums. Its global presence is exactly what Graffiti Design looks for in clients.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to work with one of Sussex’s largest companies. The volume and variety of signage required is great and the exposure of our work from this job can only benefit the company. We always look to work with market leaders like Edwards, and I’m delighted that we’ve got this chance.” Damien Pestell, Sales and Marketing Director and Project Manager of the works remarked.

Graffiti will now go about finalising all the artwork and designs which assisted in the awarding of the contract, and manufacture will begin in due course.

International Signage For Monsoon Accessorize

As part of our contract with Monsoon Accessorize, we have produced these two fantastic fascias for sites in Libya, Africa.

The specifications are the same for the sites however with one major twist, all the text is in Arabic. This dramatic change has created a great talking point and everyone is really happy with the outcome of the signage. It brings a breath of fresh air to the workplace as the works are so unique and unusual.

LED illumination is again provided on the Monsoon fascia and backlit fluorescent lighting is installed on the Accessorize fascia. The detailed text shows how capable the Graffiti workforce is as the built up and pushed through letters came out very well.

At Graffiti Design we are also looking for interesting and innovative projects and this is a prime example. We relish and thrive on opportunities like this and enjoy working on such unique and different signage. We all look forward to more works similar to the Arabic signage and to the rest of the Monsoon Accessorize project.

The Arun Estates Estate Signage Rebrand

Since 2009 Graffiti Design has been enjoying a good relationship with Arun Estates on the majority of their signage rebrand. The south east’s biggest independent estate agency trades under 5 names – Ward & Partners – Cubitt & West – Pittis – Douglas Allen and Rooney & Co, there are over 100 high street stores throughout.

The main focus of the work has been the complete re-brand of the Kent based Ward & Partners. Graffiti worked with Arun Estates on developing a new fascia, interior and display package that could be rolled out throughout the county to all the 43 stores.

The main standard fascia was a plethora of aluminium built-up and flat cut lettering all of which illuminated by our very own LED light trough. Another part of the package was internal wall decorations including maps of the local area, window graphics and more branding.

Graffiti Design has now recently received a large order from the Ward & Partners division for their own LED Property Display Unit, which is currently in production.

The Ward & Partners project has been extremely well received by Arun Estates and Graffiti Design are now working with them again on the Douglas Allen internal re-brand, including wall maps, large scale photos and branding. “The whole process from initial visuals to the finish product was conducted with professionalism and was carried out smoothly and quickly” said Arun Estates Premises Manager – Tony Webster.

New and existing site revamps for Cubitt & West is also in the pipeline and internal window displays for the Isle of Wight based Pittis have been attended to which has resulted in another great success.

Bruce Pestell, project manager for the work said “The project has allowed us to develop new products and services for our clients, and to see it all flourish in practise is really satisfying. All at Arun Estates have been a pleasure to work with and now are one of our most valued clients”.

This is a fine example of how Graffiti Design once again works with the clients from the design stage all the way through to the finished manufactured product, and relishes every minute of it.
